The function of the transmission sh aft is to transfer the power generated by the engine to the rear axle through the gear box to drive the wheels to rotate so that the vehicle can move forward or backward. The transmission shaft is connected to the gear box (or retarder) and rear as le on both ends respectively. Transmission shaft is one of the key parts driving the vehicle to operate. Universal transmission shaft is used to transfer power between two shafts with misaligned axles or even constantly changed relatively positions during operation.
Universal transmission shaft should adapt to the angle between two shafts connected and the constant change of relative posi-tions to a certain extent and be able to transfer power reliab ly and stably, ensuring two connected shafts rotate at the same speed.
2、 Structure & Principle
The flange fork and universal joint fork are connected by a spider to constitute a first level subssembly, the flange fork and the spline second level subssembly are connected by a spider to constitute a first level subssembly, two first level subssemblies are welded through a shaft tube or welded directly to form the transmission shaft assembly.
3.1 Check if the transmission shaft is rotating normally. If it is shaking obviously, check the mounting bolt for tightness. Class 10.9 bolt specially for transmission shaft should be applied.
M12 tightening torque 73-90N. m;M14 tightening torque 122-180N. m; M16 tightening torque 182-240N. m.
3.2 Periodically (every 3-6 months) add lubricating oil to oil sites of the transmission shaft. In summer, lithium-base grease 3#should be applied, while in winter lithium grease 2# should be applied, till flooding.
